So for the last week

For the last week, I have been doing a work experience placement at this place called, A & R photographic, which is an agency, which represents stylists and photographers. I enjoyed myself loaadds, and learnt loads about a different side of the fashion industry, and how everything actually comes together.

There is so much of certain parts of the industry that you see, e.g design, celebrity, shows and magazines, it is all very glamorous and exciting,  but there is also a whole process and group of people who make that possible. From the person booking, venues or models, to the photographers, stylists and digies on shoots, even just the couriers, who take portfolios from one destination to another make it possible to have fashion the way we like.

Even though most of my day, I was changing acetates on portfolios, ordering bikes or scanning and stripping editorials, I enjoyed myself, and was fascinated to watch the girls work and eventually produce and end product. They also amazingly got me on some shoots, which where another eye opener, everybody works so hard and take barely any credit for it.

I think I am probably rambling a bit, but I have just seen another side to the fashion industry which was inspiring, informative and interesting, and has kind of re sparked an interest in a totally different way, to new things.

Anyway, on Monday I start at another placement for YOU magazine, which I am super excited about.

Resort 2011

These are the three Resort collection I loved. So the three I am going to post about. Resort is easy, there is no deep theory and idea behind it that you have to find for yourself, Resort is more about being pretty, nice and clothes for people to like.

These are my favourite collections, the three I would wear all the time if I could, I would live in them never take them off.

Acne

A slightly oversized, beatiful materiels and dark moody colours,  the kind I like for summer, you know the kind that attract the heat, giving me an excuse to stay inside in a dark room, or the fridge.

Alexander Wang

Cut beautifully, layered which is rarely done in summer, there is also Knitwear, another thing rarely seen in summer, but another thing I love.

Celine

Celine was my summery Resort collection, flowing light floral dresses, desert feel, and colour.
