PRADA RTW

FAIL.
Personally PRADA RTW was a total disappointment, its a sad day when you prefer a designers RST collection more then the RTW.
This year fashion week was inevitably going to see the highs and lows of fashion due to the recession, some people played it safe others took it and worked with it possibly bringing some of the best runways there have been in yeaars.
PRADA just didn't bring it, really just didn't feel the concept prints or materials some of the peices also looked as if they had been put together seconds before going out, not great for what looked like it should of been a clean cut collection. There just wasn't much creativeness vibeness going on ness
The other thing baffeling me about this is the Mui mui collection also designed by Muicca Prada which was deffinatley a highlight of fashion week.

The Resort collection on the other hand KILLED IT!
They had draping dresses with pastel block colours, cute duffel bags and pretty bow tie heels. At least faith in PRADA is not lost forever.
Bring back PRADA 06!

I know I am seriously late to blog about this, but I had to so i'm going to.

I'M ACTUALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS COLLECTION. Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 RTW.
The hair, the clothes, the bags, and the shoes DAMMIT those shoes
Afros mixed with denims PVC cotton fringe sheepskin clogs lace leather tassels.
The collection was pure creative genius, it all worked amazingly toghether to the last detail, the colours where great all the different textures worked everything was so extreme but beautiful.
Totally loved the collection but...
What was it meant to say what was he background of it, designer of the collection Marc Jacobs said he wanted it to be "about travelers—the movement that came after punk. Then we were thinking about hiking, trekking, and then denim and parkas—city utilitarianism." BASSICALLY WHAT YOUR TRYING TO SAY IS THAT IT IS A TOTAL MIX UP MASH OF ALL THINGS WONDERFULL.
Personally it would of just been better to keep the idea open to the audience instead of coming up with something to just tick all the boxes.
Don't get me wrong though it was such an amazing collection so creative, and nice to see some designers are going to try and break boundries instead of play it safe like so many others did this season AHEM Prada.

Kiss me please or suck on these

YEHS YEHS YEHS
so SO feeling charcole lips right now
Obsession me lipstick got more.
I LOVE IT
Black lips are amazing they look sophisticated but punky and edgy with a streak of cool pretty and angry gothic totaly moody lipstick Luella is hypervetalating over lipstick and forgetting her punctuation.

Everybody is doing charcole lips, starting with YSL's Fall 08 RTW- all the models were put in black wigs and lips - Then Chanel came out with their Chanel's Noirs Obscurs and MAC black style pictured above.

Emmm eyyeee youuu emm eye you

Okay when I first took a look at the Miu miu spring 2010 RTW collection I was disappointed.
The clothes looked great but I felt there wasn't anything AMAZING nothing stood out, honestly they all looked pretty similar. That was before I got to picture 6 of 35 - speedy judgements on catwalks I have now learnt isn't an accurate one - but looking on, the collection was so good .

The patterns were so simple and not too serious, they were young and flirty creating the effect the designer Miuccia Prada seemed to want "I was questioning innocence, questioning youth,"
They had very child friendly patterns with the cats, dogs and birds but then also had the silhouette of a naked women as well, something which I think 'questioned innocence well'

As the show went on the pieces got more and more detailed bringing knitwear crystals and shiny beads YES SHINY BEADS making it look more sophisticated.

I reeeaallly loved all the nudes and loved the midriffs on show very Lolitaesque. As you can probably tell I LOVE the collection.

There is just nothing left to say I have said it all spilled my heart through Miu miu.

EXCITEDNESZZ

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE
so So unbelievably excited for this film. It visually looks beautiful and almost identical to the illustrations of the book.
The sound track is lovely, dreamy like a lullaby and beautifully accompanies the style and look of the film.
Honestly I wasn't convinced, turning what is such a wonderfully illustrated book into a film was a major risk, visually and otherwise, especially considering the monsters but they have produced what looks like a stunning film that goes in to depth about growing up and all that goes with it. Where the wild things are is going to be a film about dreams fantasy and imagination. bringing what is a well loved book back to life in such a creative way.

Where the wild things are is due to be coming out on the 11th of december 09
