The BEST christmas films.

As I have already mentioned. And you have probably guessed. I am christmas mad.
And love everything to do with christmas SPECIALLY christmas movies.
I lovelovelove christmas movies!!!

So here is my guide to the best of christmas movies

1. It's a wonderful life - I watched this film just yesterday... again, and it is possibly the most feel good film of all time. It brought a good few tears to my eye and all those at the cinema too i'm sure. It was so beautiful.
Quick summery - A dark, bittersweet post-war tale of George Bailey played by James Stewart who is depressed and thinking of ending it all on Christmas Eve. His guardian angel Clarence, whimsically played by Henry Travers comes to the rescue and gives George 'the gift' of seeing what life would be like had he not been born. Through a series of flashbacks George realises how wonderfully important his life is.
Seriously this is a must see film for anybody needing the warmth of christmas.

2. Edward Scissorhands - Edward Scissorhands is such a lovely film possibly a bit sad for christmas but still a wonderfully christmasy film with snow and love and lights.
Quick summary - In a castle high on top of a hill lives an inventor's greatest creation - Edward, a near-complete person. The creator died before he could finish Edward's hands; instead, Edward is left with metal scissors for hands. Edward has always lived alone, until a kind lady called Peg discovers Edward and welcomes him into her home. At first, everyone welcomes Edward into the community, but soon things begin to take a change for the worse.  I Have to say it is such a sad film and keeps me crying for a while. But as always Johnny Depp puts on a flawlwess performance and makes this film something special.

3. The grinch that stole christmas - Although I havent watched this film in a while I remember watching it as a child and loving it. Although I normally can't stand Jim Carry and hate it when classic books are turned into films. but this is one film that I will let slide. It is a sweet film with a real christmas feel.
Quick Summary - Based on the book by the famous Dr. Seuss. Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville. Rejected by the Who's as a child and living in spiteful seculsion for most of his life, the Grinch has always hated the citizens of Whoville. That especially goes for Christmas with the Who's noise, phony sentiment and wasteful materialism. When little Cindy Lou Who's attempt to transcend the festivities' empty commercialism by inviting the Grinch ends with his public humiliation, the Grinch hatches upon on his supreme scheme to ruin the holidays
It is really sweet and gives this warm fuzzy feeling inside.

4. Now I only watched this film yesterday thanks to Jess but I honestly don't know how I have lived without it for so long. Such a sweet film. And heartbreaking when santa is sent to prison. But do not despair it does have a happy ending.
Quick Summary - At the Macy's Department Store Thanksgiving Day parade, the actor playing Santa is discovered to be drunk by a whiskered old man. Doris Walker, the no nonsense special events director, persuades the old man to take his place. The old man proves to be a sensation and is quickly recruited to be the store Santa at the main Macy's outlet. While he is successful, Ms. Walker learns that he calls himself Kris Kringle and he claims to be the actual Santa Claus. Despite reassurances by Kringle's doctor that he is harmless, Doris still has misgivings, especially when she has cynically trained herself, and especially her daughter, Susan, to reject all notions of belief and fantasy. And yet, people, especially Susan, begin to notice there is something special about Kris and his determination to advance the true spirit of Christmas amidst the rampant commercialism around him and succeeding in improbable ways. When a raucous conflict with the store's cruelly incompetent psychologist erupts, Kris finds himself held at Bellevue where, in despair, he deliberates fails a mental examination to ensure his commitment. All seems lost until Doris' friend, Fred Gaily, reassure Kris of his worth and agrees to represent him in the fight to secure his release. To achieve that, Fred arranges a formal hearing in which he argues that Kris is sane because he is in fact Santa Claus. What ensues is a bizarre hearing in which people's beliefs are reexamined and put to the test, but even so, it's going to take a miracle for Kris to win.
I have been told that the new one is much better than the old one.

Merry Christmas eve!!!

So I totally freaked in class. And then on the grounds. And then in class again.
And was yearning for some wooly clothes to go with the beautiful snow
Something maybe like the Balenciaga Fall 2004. Possibly the most perfect collection for weather like this.

AM I RIGHT OR AM I RIGHT?! I am totally in love with the aviator jacket. But who isnt?
I also lovelovelove the dress second from the right. It looks so cosy and comfortable AND looks so beautiful.

And maybe these EPIC Proenza Schoula AW 09 shoes to go with it.
Well that is my winter outfit sorted!!!

I am also very happy that Galliano won lifetime achievement award, he has truly been magical for a lifetime. The awards I feel always go to deserving people and are well picked. They are also wonderful for really pushing people out their into the industry.

I like it black.

Well yesterday, I was reading my way through reviews on Alexander Wang <3
when I stumbled across a critic talking about the amount of black Wang uses in his collections. And to my own shock horror, not in a good way.
WHY?!
JUST WHY OH WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?!
DID HE SEE THE CLOTHES?!

Umm HELLOO! Does this man not have eyes. Does he not see the creative genius that Alexander Wang is. Does colour really matter when you have clothes like this... I THINK NOT.
His tailoring is AMAZING his use of materials is MAGICAL everything about these clothes are mind blowing why would you need colour as well, it would just be too much.

That is all I can say on the matter before I explode. AWFL (Alexander Wang for lifee)

But no way am I complaining about the use of colour. Like his SS RTW 2010.
But just sometimes colour is not needed to show how amazing clothes can be.

I'm not sure what this is but i'm giving it a go

Oscar Wilde

Love, passion, obsession, beauty, wonder, magic.

This man was them all. He understood the world around him in a better way than any other person who has lived.

Petra who is this?

Umm.. Agyness Deyn?
That was the moment I took it upon myslef to teach my dear sister. About the most famous faces of fashion. Umong other things.

She is doing well. She can now identify, Kate Moss from Agyness Deyn.
And name Natalia Vidianova Coco Rocha Chanel Iman Jourdan Dunn etc

She is still not quite grasping, the size of models, or the acceptance in price for high fashion.

BUT I AM WORKING ON IT

Today I went to a showing of Peter Clark work.
It was a good event. But his work isn't my favourite.

His work are pictures made by peices of paper, wrappers, stamps etc
From a distance it looks amazing and very together, but close up it tends to look too busy, the colours don't merge so well.
