There was such a hype about this show, but looking at the stills I couldn't grasp why, honestly I was just so confused, although the clothes where great the confusion was greater. Buutttt when I saw this video my confusion ceased to exist, along with my heart beat and regular breathing pattern, I suddenly grasped the hype. LIKE GRASPED IT WITH WARM WELCOMING OPEN ARMS AND A BRAIN OF UNDERSTANDING. So yeah I got the hype.
The show as you can see consisted of taking off and putting back on clothes. BUT WITH REAL SKILL. I don't think I can slip into tracksuits and a t shirt that quikly but somehow - yes I admit with the help of Viktor & Rolf - Kristen McMenamy managed to slip in and out of 26 very elaborate items with ties and nots and frills and awkward shapes and shoulders, while making it look like performing art!!!
If i were doing this, in all honesty, I would awkwardly be tangled up between the arm and head hole, or tie a sleeve around my waist instead of the belt, or loose my balance while trying to step into the trousers or.. I think you get the idea. So instead of telling you my view on the clothes and the design I thought I would talk about my envy for gracefull dressing and undressing, something I have struggled with for many years past, present and most probably future too.
