This is such an amazing film it was mindblowingly beautiful and tragic and gritty and heartrenching. Such talent went into this film, it is almost impossible to think that Natalie Portman was just 13 when she took on this role, she was flawless, it would be such a tough role to play for an adult and yet she grasped totally what the role demanded of her. I ALSO WOULD LIKE HER WARDROBE PLEASE!!!!!
It was set in NY and some of the camera shots they gave you brought me to tears literally.
Honeslty I havn't really been able to put across how much I loved it, you just have to watch it to get what I mean, but it has really affected me in a way only a number of films do.
After watching the film again another three times, I think one of the things that really makes this film wonderful is the total lack of emotion both chracters have until they find eachother and then the slightly perverse relationship they form with one another as the film goes on, the whole film was styled beautifully and it really flowed it progressed at such a perfect pace that it almost felt real but because of the 'shocking' story line the whole experience was sereal all of it really clicked together and I was shocked when I found out the uncut version was only released years after the 'original' came out. It just shows how people have become a lot more open minded and prepared ot sit and listen before making complete judgments.
And stop saying "okay" all the time. Okay?
Okay.
Good.
