Everything I think at the moment is in orange with this as a soundtrack.

The mystery man has been revealed!!!

A long long time ago. A young girl named Luella was reading a Vogue.

And in this Vogue was an ad For Marc Jacobs Daisy.

Luella looked at the picture and felt a little hole in her body fill.

The picture she saw was beautiful. It was amazing.

So Luella spent a long time searching for her mystery photogropher her mystery man.

Until one day she found him.

His name was Juergen Teller.

These are all pictures by the superstarr photogropher.

Past and present, they are not necessaruly the ones I would choose but they are so hard to come by on the internet.

The last is his book about his colaborations with Marc Jacobs since 1998.

Including just recently Elisha Smith Leverock

A common contributor to both Dazed & Confused magazine and also German Vogue 

Elisha is a london based German photogropher who takes dreamy magical pictures. 

                                      

This is her lates work for Dazed and confused and I love it. It is dreamy and magical which I always love. But I also love the adroginistic and futuristic feel to it. She has created a character where nor do I know whether it is male or female but I also feel confused about whether the character is human alien or robot. Or just a young child playing with tin foil!!!

Congratulation Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone!!!!

Yesterday while performing the daily ritual of stylingdotcoming I happened to stumble across a man.

A man so amazing I had to blog about. 

A man named Mark Fast.

Mark Fast is a Canadian knit wear graduate from Central St. Martins. 

This is his second collection. 

He is possibly the most inspirational new talent there is. 

His collection is amazing and almost scary. It is daring and beautiful. Who thought you could create clothes as intricate and detailed as this. Especially in knit wear. The boundaries are obviously endless.

When I came across the collection, I was speechless the clothes are just so beautiful they are breath taking.

 Something I think he has done so well is making the colour scheme so simple. For clothes as wonderful as this I think it is right not to add colour, otherwise I feel it is too much to take in. The collection would loose it's touch on your sences because you would see the colour and not the detail. 

It is honestly like wearing a piece of art.

Another part of this collection that had people talking, was his angered stylist who quit over his use of three plus size models. I as one do not have a problem with thin models, as I think their bodies are more diverse when it comes to showning clothes. But I am also not against the use of plus size models. 

Saying this though, I feel Mark Fast has not used the models for the right reasons. I feel he has used them as a statement, a statement that he is breaking the "rules" and going outside the box, but I don't think he used them to really show the clothes the their full potential, to make a women of size 16 to walk down a catwalk in a tight holey dress, that PERSONALLY I think would of been more suited to a smaller model. I think clothes this beautiful should be flattered by whoever is wearing them. And some clothes just don't do curves. 

All this siad and done. The collection is amazing and I look foreward to seeing this man develope as a designer!!!!

New Year. New Decade.

So yeah. I am now officially writing in the new year and the new decade. Although it is only about 12 hours since yesterday.

Spooky right?

As I thought it was the new year I thought I would post a blog about what I think was the best of the 2010 catwalks and who is most deffinately to watch this year.

Models to watch. 

 

Lindsey Wixon and Sedene Blake

With Lindsey already opening and closing catwalks - She opened PRADA RTW and closed MiuMiu - and Sedene having such natural beauty I think these two models are ones to watch for the year ahead. 

Now onto the bit I am looking foreward to most. 

The best of the catwalks. Although I have to limit it - I have limeted space - so I am doing a mix up.

Best Denim - Undoubtedly goes to Chloe. I love this denim ensamble, people often say don't do denim with denim but this totally blows it out of the water. I love the lighter knee caps. And the dark pocket marks on the shirt. 

Best Knitwear - Deffinatley goes to Rodarte with their futuristic knitwear and awesome ink work.

I loved the collection and the skill in making such elaborate pieces from knitting. I admire this collection. Although I have to say Missoni where a close second. 

Best leather - There was no question who the best leather would go to. Celine totally killed it this year. I fell in love with the collection and the use of vomit coloured leather. I also loved the simple leather shoes on all the models. 

Best Print I couldn't choose between these three. I loved Muiccia Prada's naked lady's and innocent birds, cats, daisies etc Prenza Schouler with their slightly tie die slightly snakeskin print was amazing and Christopher Kane's Nuclear bomb print is so simple but beautiful. 

And Last but not least

THE ULTIMATE SHOE

NO Words will describe these. They were the ultimate shoe this season. They had EVERYBODY talking They had models refusing to walk in them http://www.modelsblog.info/ They had Daphne Guiness and GAGA in them straight away. They were magical.
